Way back in the 30s, my grandad used to work for LIC Corporation of India as the Head of southern operations. His immediate Boss was a Brit, the Country Head… He had this great opening for job interviews

Candidate : Good morning Sirs !

Brit Boss : Good Morning ! That’s a very nice tie you are wearing !

Candidate : Thank you Sir !

Brit Boss : Can you remove it, please ?

The Candidate is confused, but fumbles and removes the tie.

Brit Boss : Can you put it on back,  please  ?

Crisis ! The candidate is flabbergasted. 88| His Dad or elder bro or somone made a neat knot that he could just slip over his head and tighten up. He just doesn’t know how to knot a tie. In school, he had an elastic strap tie, in college he never wore one;)

Brit Boss :  I think the 1st thing you need to do before you start seeking a career is to start learning to do things your self.

He is politely asked to leave…

If he reknotted the tie, he was shortlisted :D
